• Weight Loss Surgery: 4 Months Post-Op

    Hey curvies!!!

I am her for an update with a lot of excitement! I am 4 months post-up!!!! My life has definitely changed since May 12, 2017. I am no longer on blood pressure medicine and my blood pressure is awesome! I could say that this was the easiest decision I have ever made, but honestly it was not. During the time when I was unsure I began reaching out to people to get real opinions about weight loss surgery. Often times I would watch hours and hours of YouTube videos to better understand the process as a whole. The one thing I could not bring myself to watch was actual videos of surgeons doing surgery. Researching this procedure took me three years but was a huge help to me and I am glad I did.

I am delighted to be down 78 pounds, basically a 3rd grader!!!! Honestly, some days I really cannot see it. Other days I see the weight loss and think about where I came from. Seeing weight loss is sometimes difficult for weight loss surgery patients but creating before/after collages always seems to help. With this process I have found that weight loss surgery support groups are a great help. Seeing other women and men living their lives after weight loss surgery is the best thing about being open with my weight loss surgery.

Being a person who buys clothes based on the fabric content has become a little easy for me. I continue to try everything on and it’s super weird buying smaller clothes. I went shopping recently and stood in a dressing room where everything fit or was too big. That has never happened to me in my life. I had to pick and choose what was worthy of my coins, I ended up buying my top three items. Thank you all for reading my most recent update, until next time!
