• Weight Loss Surgery: 9 Months Post-Op

    Hey Curvies!!!

I am excited to bring you all another update. Just a reminder my second Instagram account is now Curvybee_RNY_ (here). Since January of 2017 I have been on this Weight Loss Surgery (wls) journey. With the support from Nurse Practitioner, surgeon, my family, boyfriend, and friends I am proud to say I had my surgery May 12, 2017.

Now let’s get to this 9 month post-op update!!! It has been too long! I forget to talk about my journey and sometimes feel ashamed of it. I will admit that being honest and open has allowed me reach so many women through email or direct messaging which is what counts. I am proud of myself. I used to not accept comments or reply “I’m trying girl,” but you know what? I really am doing it and will gladly accept any positive comments or good vibes.

Now the stats!!!! Drum roll please! I am down 109 pounds in 9 months and that is with me finally breaking a 2 month stall. According to my surgeon’s goal for me I have about 30 more pounds to go and that makes me nervous as hell. Like what will I look like? Then what? But just know I will be still be curvy, because that’s in my genes!

Measurements are up next! My bust is down 12 1/2 inches, my waist is down 12 3/4, my hips are down 15 inches. My bra size shocked me the most going from a 42 H to a 38 DDD.

Food update! I am following a ketogenic lifestyle that consists of low carbs and high fats. This works best for me because my body never really agreed with carbs anyway. I can eat beef again and bunless burgers are my jam! I also love pizza toppings with white sauce, I could eat that for days.

My family, boyfriend, and friends are so supportive of my journey. I also think that it’s important to NOT push your lifestyle onto others. I can go out to eat with them and enjoy myself because places will accommodate your lifestyle for the most part. I also make it my business to not be judgey I know it’s easy to point at other people’s choices, but I did not want people judging me.

    Till next time Curvies!!!
