Millennial Workwear: Mixing Prints

Hey Curvies!!!

Millennial workwear is an ongoing series that features workwear options for millennials that are entering corporate America. In the early stages of my career I was under the impression that black was the only color that fit my company’s dress code. I was so wrong. What is important is the fit.

For my Millennial workwear post today we are talking about mixing prints for casual Friday! I love mixing prints but at work sometimes you have to ease your coworkers into your style. I try not to throw all of my fashion sense at them all at once.

Let’s get into this outfit! This outfit would be so cute for casual Friday. My polka dot dress (similar) has nice flow, a respectable length, and not too much cleavage. I loved pairing my striped heels (similar in color) with my striped clutch. Pairing the two together made my print mixing so easy. This outfit will transition nicely if you’re headed for drinks after work!

Style Notes: I am wearing a size 14 in my polka dot dress (similar) and it true size. My denim jacket is also true to size in a 14. My striped heels (similar in color) were perfect in a 10.
