Hey Curvies!!!
New month means new series!!! This month is all about dresses in the “Dress It Up” series I will feature three different styles of dresses. I love me a good dress because for me dresses are easy. I literally pick a dress and everything else falls in line? Which style of dress is your favorite?
Second up is my favorite style of dresses, bodycons! Now I will be honest when I was pregnant I really, really loved bodycons. I loved seeing my baby bump show in my dresses. After having my baby I tried on this bodycon dress with my spanx and hated it! I thought my love for wearing bodycons had changed but I really was not ready to give them up.
Well…maybe I was not feeling myself or like myself but now I am back! It brought me so much joy to put on a dress that I once hated myself in and looking good in it. When we shot this bodycon dress downtown it was a showstopper, no literally people (men and women) were stopping at the light and yelling. Some people even made U-turns because this dress is banging! Ladies do not try on new clothes right after having a baby, give your body time to heal.
I kept the styling of this bodycon dress super simple. The sleeves on this dress are so elaborate that I did not want anything to take away from them and opted for a simple black block heels. Block heels are life! I always feel sexy and secure in a good block heel. I went with black flower earrings to pull this look together.
Style Notes: This bodycon dress is true to size in a 1x. The stretch is amazing but it is a stiff stretch, no riding up. My black block heels are also true to size in a 10.
