Memphis Fashion Week celebrates “local and regional fashion through designers, photographers, models and boutiques. Proceeds from official events benefit The Memphis Fashion Design Network.”
I am excited to bring you all a recap of the Memphis Fashion Week events of 2019. Memphis is filled with so many stylish men and women. What really wowed me was the amazing vendors. Memphians are so talented and do not mind be extra. I saw so many power suits and again that prompted next month’s series!
The first event I attended was the Fashion Night Out! Where there was a pop-up shop at Crosstown Concourse which was filled with unique vendors. This event was packed with stylish Memphians wearing a ton of color! The location was perfect complete with a lot of space. There were also freeze models on pedestals giving me my entire life. The next event I attended was the Featured Designer Runway Shows that took place at Crosstown Concourse. This show featured looks from designers from/currently in Memphis, so cool! I enjoyed designs from Tanganika by Tangie, Demi Blvck Designs, This is Sloane, T I E N A, and Jodi Brewer Couture. I chose to share my two favorite looks from each designer. Check them out:

The last Memphis Fashion Week event I attended was the Emerging Designer Runway show that took place at Memphis College of Arts. This show featured designers who were selected from a call out for sketches during the Fall. It is amazing to see some of these designs as sketches. These designers had “approximately six months to make their designs runway-ready by selecting fabrics, creating patterns, sewing their pieces, and fitting models.” Check out my favorite looks from all of the designers below:
