Hey Curvies!!!!
Today I wanted to share my birth story with you all after celebrating my first Mother’s Day. My pregnancy, labor, and delivery taught me that I can not control every single thing. If you all remember prior to pregnancy I had not had a high blood pressure pill since 2 weeks after my weight loss surgery. Well after finding out about my history of high blood pressure my OBGYN thought it was best to take a mild blood pressure pill to be on the safe side.
My blood pressure was really good throughout my pregnancy so when I went to my 38 week appointment I was shocked my blood pressure had elevated. On December 13, 2018 we agreed to be induced that night at 8:00 pm. I daydreamed about giving birth. I just knew my nails would be done, my hair would extra fresh, and I would be arriving on a full stomach. Well it did not happen like that, at all. We left the doctor at 3:00 pm hitting the ground running. We grabbed last minute things from Target and I grabbed the last of my Christmas shopping. I was a whole mess.
Fast forward to getting to hospital 45 minutes late. We ordered some delicious wings and I was only able to eat half of one WING before making it to the hospital. Of course the nurses made sure I did not eat anything else. Ladiesssss Austin ate his wings right in front of me! I still remember how good they smelled! Back to the story! So I was adamant about a natural birth, but after getting my water broken and some pitocin I asked to speak to the anesthesiologist but then told him to bring the medicine with him! The pain was so serious I still remember it! I progressed really fast and after my pitocin my son arrived in 3 hours!
