I am so happy to be back on my blog. I have had a lot going on especially with my blog being down for the lather of July. I will be finishing off this series this week. So without further ado my second installment of “Suited Up” is all about the “Gold Details.” In this series I will showcase 3 suits that are needed at some point in your life.
This green suit spoke volumes with me. It screamed boss babe and I knew I had to have it. The tapered leg pants were different for me because most of my dress slacks are wide legged. The gold buttons definitely wooed me into falling in love with this suit. The gold buttons on the suit blazer was icing on the cake.
I am a firm believer of letting an outfit do the talking. I did not want to over accessorize this suit, because it was not needed. I wanted to wear chunky gold earrings but I went a chunky necklace (similar). I have lost a couple of pounds since getting this suit and the blazer became big. I added a denim belt to snatch my waist. I kept my sandals very simple and opted for my tan block heels. Adding my handbag (similar) created some much needed texture. If you have not noticed I am obsessed with block heels. I feel so confident and comfortable wearing them.
Style Notes: I did get my suit pants tailored to fit my body type, originally they were a size 18. My suit blazer was true to size in a 16, I did lose a little weight and it is too big. There is no stretch in neither of the pants or blazer. My tan block heels are true to size in a 10.
