Have you saw something and thought this is Summer? I do this all of the time. Regardless of season, I’ll just spot something and hold on to wear it until it feels right. That is exactly how I felt about this dress. For some people August means Fall, but here in Tennessee is means “The Real Summer.” August is the hottest month of year and it means dress accordingly.
With this yellow floral dress it was perfect for August. It is light in color and in weight. This is the lightest well made dress I have ever owned. I love how the buttons are large and that actually helps prevent gapping. I wanted to turn the styling up a notch, but at first could not think of how. Then I found these bomb orange statement earrings and remembered I had a super cute orange-ish crossbody bag (similar). The two worked perfectly together. I went with a simple tan low heel sandal (similar in comfort) and a denim jacket (similar).
Style Notes: This yellow floral dress is perfect, but with the buttons I sized up to a 2x to be on the safe side. I am not super busty so the straps were shorted for a more tailored fit. My tan low heel sandals (similar in comfort) are true to size in a 10. My denim jacket (similar) is old and also true to size in a 14.
