Millennial Workwear: The Budget Friendly Green Dress

Millennial workwear is an ongoing series that features workwear options for millennials that are entering corporate America. In the early stages of my career I was under the impression that black was the only color that fit my company’s dress code. I was so wrong. What is important is the fit.

I am so excited to share this affordable green dress! I remember trying to have a balanced budget as well as a full fashionable closet when I entered corporate America. I often found myself spending my work check trying to look nice for work. That time in my life was a learning experience. I now understand that a the main things that separate work attire and weekend attire are accessories, most times.

This green is perfect for a day in the office. This dress is perfect for the office because the pleats are on trend without hugging too close to the body. The sleeves are flowy for women who loves sleeves and green looks so good for the Fall. Oh did I mention it is under $25 and comes in 2 other colors?!

I styled this green dress as if I was headed into the weekly meeting that I lead. The colorful block heels (similar) are definitely an ice breaker and super cute. I added rose gold earrings (similar) and rose gold bangles to add some bling. The pink handbag (similar) added nice touch. For a weekend look I will add a denim jacket, statement earrings, and low heel booties.
