Millennial workwear is an ongoing series that features workwear options for millennials that are entering corporate America. In the early stages of my career I was under the impression that black was the only color that fit my company’s dress code. I was so wrong. What is important is the fit. Let’s get into this layered outfit.
I know some millennials still struggle with the balance between weekend and workday attire. For me I ended up with a ton of workday attire and when the weekend came around I struggled trying to look “casual”. Balance is key. I love a good jumpsuit and this jumpsuit was a weekend hit. I loved the fit so much I wanted to wear it to work.
Layering pieces could definitely change the vibe of an outfit. With the Fall temperatures steadily dropping layering is more of a need now than ever. I am also super obsessed with turtlenecks and pair this jumpsuit created a seamless silhouette. During the week I rarely wear heels and wanted to share my new favorite tan flats (similar). I love that they lace-up and zip up the back. Lastly, I added my favorite tan handbag for extra flare.
Style Notes: I am wearing a size 3x in this jumpsuit and it is true to size in an 18. My turtleneck is also true to size in an XL. My tan flats (similar) are a size 11, I sized up because they are very narrow.
