Millennial workwear is an ongoing series that features workwear options for millennials that are entering corporate America. In the early stages of my career I was under the impression that black was the only color that fit my company’s dress code. I was so wrong. What is important is the fit. Let’s get into this back to black office outfit!
In the Fall I rarely lose inspiration for workwear but when I do I go back to black. Black has been a staple in my wardrobe and black is actually my happy color. I also feel like a black base can be the foundation to a super cute outfit.
I used my black pants to build this outfit. These pants remind you of jeans but fit like a pant. I really did not feel like thinking about my shoes and went with my black slouch booties. I then added some color with emerald blouse. This blouse is everything and I can see myself rocking it with jeans. I also added color with a hint of sparkle with my earrings.
Style Notes: i am wearing a size 2x in my black pants. They are super stretchy and true to size. My emerald top is in a size 1x and is also true to size without a lot of stretch. My slouch booties are in a size 10 wide and fit like a dream.
