• Satin Midi Skirt: Black with Sneakers

    Hey Curvies!!!

Again, I am so excited to be bringing you a brand new series in a brand new year!!! This series will focus on styling my latest obsession “Satin Midi” skirts! I bought one fell in love and ended up with 4! Before I knew it I was creating super cute outfits and decided to share these looks in series. These skirts are super versatile and I can not wait to share these looks with you all! Let’s get into this black satin midi skirt!

This look was influencer inspired by Loren of @lorenagbo, Carmeon of Carmeon Hamilton, and Ali of @aliglad_carpediem. I always love when those ladies rock sneakers with skirts and felt like I could not pull it off or maybe it would not look right on my body type. Well I was wrong! I honestly wanted to pay homage to these ladies style while staying true to myself. This black satin midi skirt was the perfect skirt!

I have not felt this cool in an outfit since the last time I wore my Air Max 270 Reacts. I initially styled this look with booties but felt like that was too safe. Remembering how the ladies above styled their skirts and sneakers so effortlessly helped me. I then switched my initial tee for my Prince, Purple Rain tee and my Air Max 270 Reacts actually pulled this outfit together. I went with my purple faux fur to create a vibe and my small handbag (similar) was the perfect accessory to complete this look.

Style Notes: I am wearing a size 18 in my black satin midi skirt. This is a true size because this skirt only has elastic in the waist. My Prince, Purple Rain tee is in a size extra large and the fit true. My Air Max 270 Reacts are true to size in a women’s 10. My purple faux fur is true to size in a 1x.
