Hey Curvies!!!
For the month of February I always enjoy showcasing “Shades of Love.” Red has become a special color for me within the last few years, because younger me was afraid to wear red. I am so excited I got over that fear. Now whether you choose to wear red as an accessory or as a statement there will be something for you in this series! Stay tuned!
This week I wanted to create an ombre effect with my red outfit. I think this look was perfect and I am still shocked at well it turned out. I bought this wine colored dress months ago and really forgot about it. While planning my looks I wanted a variation of reds, I knew a classic red was a must (here) and felt the need to go with a deep red like wine was essential to this series. I will also be bringing you all a bright red and a soft red/pink look. How did I do?
After I remembered I had this wine colored dress styling was next on my list. I have a lot of clothes and accessories so this year I am pulling out the oldies but goodies. I did have to search for these velvet booties (similar), they are about 3 or 4 years old, but when I did I fell in love with them all over again. To create the ombre effect I needed my booties to be slightly darker than my wine colored dress, BOOM! I then decided that a light colored jacket would be perfect and after searching for my pink fuzzy coat (similar) my outfit was almost complete. My rose gold earrings (similar) and rose gold bangles completed this look.
Style Notes: I am wearing a size 1x in my wine colored dress and the fit is true. My velvet booties (similar) are a size 10 and they fit amazingly. My pink fuzzy coat (similar) is also true to size in a 1x.
