Millennial workwear is an ongoing series that features workwear options for millennials that are entering corporate America. In the early stages of my career I was under the impression that black was the only color that fit my company’s dress code. I was so wrong. What is important is the fit. Let’s get into my first Fall Millennial Workwear post!
I know today is Monday Curvies but I love casual Friday. I really use Friday’s to be either extra cute or extra comfortable. I rarely have a middle ground on Friday’s and wearing cognac in the Fall is the icing on the cake. You all know I am obsessed with puff sleeves and this top felt right at home. I could not wait to take it on a spin. The off white pattern soften the color and made this cognac top even better.
I love, love, love styling in the Fall. Our options are limitless. We can layer and add colors or we can add texture to create a new vibe. With this look I added both texture and layered color. I love this cognac top and decided to layer more cognac by adding a darker cognac bootie with a dark denim jean. I loved it! The two colors shared the spotlight and made this outfit easy. My cognac booties are pointed toe and blocked heel. I love them. Accessories were easy, I only added gold earrings and gold bangles.
Style Notes: My cognac top is true to size in an XL. My dark denim jeans are slightly big in a 2x. My cognac booties are also true to size in an 11.
