Millennial workwear is an ongoing series that features workwear options for millennials that are entering corporate America. In the early stages of my career I was under the impression that black was the only color that fit my company’s dress code. I was so wrong. What is important is the fit. Let’s get into this amazing sweater set (top, skirt)!
I love a good sweater set! I will say that a lot of fit/construction elements do run through my head when determining whether to wear a sweater set (top, skirt) to work. First things first is the construction, it is important to see if the set is made from a fine knit material or a crotchet type of material. The fine knit is not see-through but the crotchet type of material does have a possibility.
This sweater set (top, skirt) was the perfect color to open the door with styling. I went with cognac and a deeper tan to style this look. These are my favorite cognac booties (similar), I literally bought these booties about 2 years ago and bought multiple pair and still love them. They seem to always go with every outfit I pair them with and I love it. I loved adding my deep tan circle bag, just as my booties this bag always pairs well with whatever I decide to wear with it. I added gold earrings and gold bangles to complete this look.
Style Notes: This sweater set (top, skirt) is an XL in both, ladies this set is very generous. I could went with a medium in the top and a large in the skirt. My cognac booties (similar) are an 11, I always size up in my boots/booties.
