Hey Curvies!!!
I am super excited to announce a new seasonal collaboration with Denzel of Denzel Alexander. We will be brining you all seasonal trends with our personal styles in mind. I love the fact that our styles are different yet we definitely proudly represent our respective plus size spaces. Denzel and I have always wanted to collaborate but the timing was not right, well it is right. We are bringing you all a four-part series and last but certainly not least is black!
This is the last installment of Denzel and I’s seasonal series “Plus Fall 2020” and we are wrapping up this series with black! Believe it or not black is my happy color. Weird, right? Often times when I am feeling down or just tired I wear brights to uplift me and it works! But, when I am super happy I wear all black! Wearing all black has a chicness and classic feel that no other color possess. It is amazing and is my third most favorite color closely trailing red and pink.
When it comes to wearing all black my number one thing I focus on is texture. I love mixing textures to create dimension within a look. With this look I actually started with my shiny faux croc mini skirt (similar). It was perfect and I was more happy it finally fit, I bought it last year. Then I remembered I had plenty of black turtlenecks and went with this ribbed one. I knew I wanted to wear these black snakeskin booties to keep the texture train going. Lastly, I added this oversized teddy coat because it gave this look something extra. I finished this look off with large silver hoops and silver bangles.
Style Notes: I am a size 18 in this faux croc mini skirt (similar). My ribbed turtleneck is true to size in a XL. My black snakeskin booties are true to size in an 11, I size up with booties. My oversized teddy coat is a men’s size large, but I probably could have gotten a small or medium.
