• Comfortably Chic: Hoodie Dress and Plaid

New month, means new series! I am so excited to bring you all the “Comfortably Chic” series for the month of December. This time last year Southern Curve Collective were bringing you all festive holiday looks filled with sparkle and glam. Being that we are in the most of a global pandemic I have decided to bring you all some comfortable yet chic looks that will be perfect whether you are celebrating the holidays at your home or attending a small gathering with friends.

This hoodie dress and plaid coat (similar) look was completely inspired by two of my favorite influencers Denzel of Denzel J Alexander and Kim of KP Fusion. I love their style so much! Denzel has been known to rock a hoodie with a stylish overcoat and Kim has been rocking these combat boots (similar) effortlessly with everything! I love them so much and happy I got my fingers on a pair! Has you style ever been influenced by an influencer or influencers? What style did you try?

I loved styling this entire outfit. It was so different for me. A year ago I was engulfed in all things “girly girl” and probably would not have seen this outfit going. I found the hoodie dress first and was excited it was from the tall department. I am 5’6″ so if things are for a tall person that gives me an extra 3 inches of fabric and the length was perfect! I fell in love with the coat but was planning to wear it completely different. Then they both arrived and they looked perfect together. I added big gold hoop earrings, a shiny black mini bag, and boot socks.

Style Notes: My combat boots (similar) are an 11 and they fit perfectly. My hoodie dress is a size 16 in tall. I could have sized down but still love the fit. My plaid coat (similar) is a size 16 and fit perfectly, I could have sized down to a 14 but will keep it.
