I am super excited to announce that Denzel of Denzel Alexander and I are bringing you all a brand new “Fall Plus 2021” series for the month of October. We will be styling black looks of course with our personal styles in mind. I love the fact that our styles are different yet we definitely proudly represent our respective plus size spaces. Denzel and I are super excited to be bringing you all another four-part series. Second up we are styling dressy black!
I can honestly say this is a very versatile black dress! I wanted this dress to be extra sexy and initially planned to wear it with exposed shoulders, but after seeing Denzel’s look I added a cropped collar shirt. This simple item added something to this dress, it became a classic look. Of course with this being a bodycon the silhouette was perfection. I loved this dress so much and cannot wait to wear it again!
Styling this black dress was a blast! I remember seeing Denzel’s look and creating this look from my closet. Now granted everything seen is new, luckily I had already did a bit of shopping. This ribbed bodycon dress is everything. I love that this black dress actually has some weight to it and that helps to create a flawless smooth silhouette. So about this cropped collar shirt, it is new but old. I have had this cropped collar shirt for about two years. I finally got to rock it and I am in love. I added my new black platform heels, they are a beautiful nightmare.
Style Notes: I am wearing an XL in this black dress, it has amazing stretch and fits amazingly well. My cropped collar shirt is also a size XL and is true to size. My black platform heels are true to size in a 10.
