Millennial workwear is an ongoing series that features workwear options for millennials that are entering corporate America. In the early stages of my career I was under the impression that black was the only color that fit my company’s dress code. I was so wrong. What is important is the fit. Let’s get into this basil dress!
Fit is honestly the most important thing when considering outfits to wear to work. I am an advocate for getting the most out of your clothing. When I saw this basil dress I immediately thought about the fit was feminine but not to clingy. The perfect type of dress for work! I also, think this basil dress will be cute for a brunch date with family, but with higher heels.
Styling this basil dress was extremely easy. I went with tan low block booties (similar). These booties will have you strutting all day throughout the office. They are comfortable and on trend. I went with drop earrings that feature olive, basil, gold, and brown egg-like balls. This outfit is going to be perfect for work!
Style Notes: I am wearing a size large in this basil dress and the fit is perfect. For reference I am a size 1x in dresses. My booties (similar) are true to size in an 11, for reference I always size up to an 11 for boots and booties.
