Hey Curvies!!!
Millennial workwear is an ongoing series that features workwear options for millennials that are entering corporate America. In the early stages of my career I was under the impression that black was the only color that fit my company’s dress code. I was so wrong. What is important is the fit. Let’s get into this cream power suit!
I’m not going to lie, this light colored suit had me shook! I wear bright colors and tons of prints on a regular basis, but never cream. As someone who focuses on fit, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the pants. I love that the waist is elastic for a comfortable fit and that the pants are lined! That means no cellulite poking through being distracting.
Styling this cream power suit was a joy. The cognac colored peplum top was a no-brainer because the color almost mirrored the stripe on the side of my pants. I love that all three of these pieces can be worn separately instantly stretching your wardrobe. I was very practical with my shoe choice, by adding tan low block heels. These tan low block heels are so comfortable that I walk around them all day at work. I completed this outfit with super cute gold earrings.
Style Notes: I am wearing a size 14 in this blazer and it’s true to size. My top is in a 14/16, also true to size. My pants are a size 20, I’m typically an 18/20 but these pants come in single sizes. My tan block heels are true to size in a 10.
