Hey Curvies!!!
I am so excited to bring you all a new series for May “Melanin in Yellow”. This series will feature creative ways to wear and style yellow! In this series I will create a look with another showstopping blazer, a dreamy crop top, and even a look featuring an amazing set. Let’s get into this yellow colorblock dream!
I feel like my personal style is having an awakening. The colors and styles I am trying are a little out of my comfort zone but somehow still feel true to me. This outfit is definitely that! I went back and forth with myself for months about this skirt (similar). I wanted it so bad, but the split was so high! I even thought to close the split. I am so happy I purchased this skirt (similar). After trying it on it was truly perfect for me.
Styling this skirt (similar) was super fun. Colorblocking is amazing especially when using bright colors. I had to include this skirt (similar) into my series this month and the easiest was to add a yellow crop top. This yellow crop top was the perfect addition that complimented this look. I simply add my favorite light earrings and my red low block heels for an added comfort.
Style Notes: I am wearing a size 1 in this skirt (similar) and it is too big in the waist for me. I know a 0 would have been amazing. My yellow crop top is true to size in an XL. My red low block heels are also true to size in a 10.
