• Mean Green: The Cargos

    Hey Curvies!!!

I am so excited to bring you all a brand new series “Mean Green” This series will feature creative ways to wear and style the shades of green. For me this series will feature olive, neon, and everything in between. In this series I will style a sexy striped dress, a super vibrant neon number mixed with a pastel, and a super dope look that combines olive and neon. First up are these bomb cargo pants.

I have been on the hunt for the perfect cargo pants. The hunt has been super complicated because most times cargo pants will fit in the thigh but not the waist. Luckily, I have found these drawstring cargo pants, because they are saving me a trip to the seamstress. The color is popping and definitely will be a staple in my rotation.

Styling these cargo pants was interesting because I wanted to step outside of my comfort zone. I literally wanted to wear a crop top but went with an oversized white collar shirt. I then layered with a plaid shacket that had hot pink in it. I completed this look with hot pink booties to bring it all together.

Styling Notes: My green cargo pants are a size 2x. I noticed that even with the drawstring they slide down a little but they are mid-rise. They are also super long and tall girl friendly. My white collar shirt was too big. I ordered a size 1x but the sides were open, I honestly could have been comfortable in a large or XL. My hot pink booties are super old in an 11.
