Welcome back to the Butter Be Yellow series—where I’ve been fully embracing one of my newest color obsessions in ways that feel intentional, effortless, and true to my style. Butter yellow has surprised me in the best way. It’s soft yet bold, subtle but still eye-catching, and honestly so much more versatile than I ever expected.
Throughout this series, I’ve styled everything from fitted knit dresses to chic blazer looks while showing how the right accessories can completely transform an outfit. And if you know me, then you already know my closet room has been working overtime. Last up? This stunning butter yellow maxi dress.
Now Curvies… you already know I love a good fitted dress, and this maxi instantly had my attention. I was a little nervous at first because the fabric is super light, but once I paired it with my tan shapewear underneath, everything came together perfectly. The stretch on this dress is amazing, and the way it drapes all the way to the floor gives it such an effortless feel. Honestly, it’s the kind of dress that was made for summer days in the city.
Styling this look was so much fun because every accessory came straight from my closet room—and most of these pieces have been sitting there for years waiting on their moment. Once I noticed the beautiful blue tones in my platform sandals, I knew I wanted to lean into that color story. I grabbed my blue sunglasses and finished the look with a striped blue handbag for an extra pop of color.
Style Notes: I’m wearing a size large in this dress and it fits true to size. My platform sandals are also true to size in a 10.
