January 9th marks my one year blogiversary!
When I decided to start my blog, I quickly became both eager and nausea. I have always loved my curves and never struggled with self-acceptance. I was never teased about my weight, if anything I was accepted because of my full curvy figure. Maybe that’s a southern thing.
I was nervous that people wouldn’t understand my style, I felt like I didn’t fit into a specific “category.”
I quickly found out the best category was just being myself. I love textures, prints, vintage, and feminine silhouettes. I didn’t realize this into I noticed a trend in my blogging, I grasped that concept and immediately started monthly themes. The themes quickly helped me become organized, which elevated frivolous spending and unplanned blogging.
Over the past year I have grown to appreciate some of my favorite bloggers. It’s not just picking out cute outfits. You have to be the stylist, the model, the writer, and editor. I really appreciate my friend, Grashunda for encouraging me. When I told her I wanted to start blogging she quickly convinced me to hit the ground running, and even did my make up and hair until I could get things together. I really appreciate my mom for being my consistent photographer, my sister and boyfriend also wore the photographer hat and made me feel comfortable.
|My first year of blogging has been amazing. Looking forward to many more!!!
