Eclectic Black in Plus Size

February 28, 2024

Hey Curvies!!!

Happy New Year!!!! I am so excited to be back and bringing you all a new series for January “Back to Black”. This series will feature creative ways to wear and style black. I typically return to black when I need a color break. In this series I will create looks with a gorgeous maxi dress and a look featuring the best black cropped sweater ever. Let’s get into this electric look featuring my favorite black boots!

I am so excited to share this eclectic black outfit featuring black. This outfit literally scared me, I started putting pieces together and created a masterpiece. All of these pieces can stand alone and somehow created a cohesive look that I am proud to share. I previously wore the tulle trench jacket (similar) to a fashion show, I actually wore this dress to a Galentine’s brunch, and I wear my favorite black boots all the time. Come through with the multipurpose pieces!

Let get into the styling of this look. I knew I wanted to wear this black and orange dress. My first thought was to add a black denim jacket, but I wanted to be open to the possibility of stepping out of my box. I looked in my closet room and last minute grabbed my tulle trench jacket (similar). Y’all I had no idea how this look would look until I was photographed. After a few shots my photographer shared the images and I fell in love! Everything worked so well together and again can stand alone. I added simple gold hoops and my Gucci bag to accessorize this look. I loved this outfit for me.

Style Notes: My black and orange dress is a size extra large. My tulle trench (similar) is a size large, I literally grabbed this jacket because I loved it, it just so happen to fit. Also, this jacket was purposed back in 2022. My platform boots are true to size in a 10, these boots are weirdly heavy.
