Hey Curvies!!!
I’m so excited to continue the first style series of the year, Shades of Love. This annual series is all about creative, confident ways to wear colors traditionally tied to love—and this year, I’m fully leaning in. Think bold reds, soft pinks, and rich chocolate hues that feel equal parts romantic and powerful.
Throughout this series, I’ll be styling a stunning red and pink fringe dress, a super cute chocolate faux leather jacket, and the most gorgeous burgundy and lavender look. Second up? This chocolate-covered goodness.
I have been absolutely obsessed with wide-leg denim lately. It’s funny to think there was a time when skinny jeans had a chokehold on me, but here we are. When I found these olive wide-leg jeans, I knew they would be the perfect addition to my denim lineup—effortless, flattering, and versatile.
This outfit truly came together piece by piece. I knew I didn’t want to default to black, so I leaned into chocolate tones instead. I instantly fell in love with the faux leather chocolate jacket, then layered it with a chocolate turtleneck for a rich, tonal moment. To finish the look, I added a mustard-colored handbag worn as a clutch for the perfect pop of contrast.
Style Notes: I’m wearing a size 16 in these jeans (I’m typically a 14—they are a bit big, so I recommend your true size). My chocolate turtleneck and faux leather jacket are both a size XL.
