Welcome back to the Butter Be Yellow series. This series is all about exploring my newest color obsession, butter yellow, and finding intentional ways to style a shade I honestly never imagined myself gravitating toward. Soft, warm, and surprisingly versatile, this color has completely won me over.
Throughout this series, I’m styling everything from fitted dresses to chic casual looks while showing how accessories can completely transform an outfit. And if you know me, you already know my closet room is getting worked overtime. Second up? This gorgeous butter yellow blazer.
Curvies, I have not truly loved a blazer in years. But the moment I saw this one, I immediately knew it belonged in my wardrobe. The structure, the color, the fit, this blazer checked every box. I also loved how versatile it felt. It could easily be dressed up, dressed down, or styled somewhere right in the middle like I did here. The crepe woven fabric gives it such a polished feel while still hugging the body in a really flattering way.
When it came time to style this look, I knew I wanted to bring red into the mix. I found this red and yellow tank top and instantly loved how the yellow logo tied back into the blazer without being too matchy. From there, the outfit really came together naturally. I paired everything with these denim jeans that I’ve had for almost a year and can finally wear comfortably. I searched my closet room for the perfect red bag, convinced I already owned one that would work… and surprisingly, I didn’t. So yes, I found one online instead. But I did find the perfect yellow platforms in my closet room to complete the look.
Style Notes: I’m wearing a size large in this butter yellow blazer and it fits true to size. My yellow platform heels are also true to size in a 10. My denim jeans are a size 15 and fit true to size.
