The Perfect Red and Black Outfit

February 12, 2025

Hey Curvies!!!

I am so excited to be back and bringing you all a new series for February “Better with Black”. This series will feature creative ways to wear and style black. I typically return to black when I need a color break but this time around I am activating the color! Black is beautiful and always look good with colors. In this series I will create look with the perfect red set, color block with hot pink and lavender, and style a beautiful black and white sweater. Let’s get into this gorgeous red set!

Curvies this red set (Sign up for Restock) scared the crap out of me! It was short and fitted but after seeing it on the plus size model I ordered it. I could not wait to try it on at home and the bit was beautiful! This set pulls you in with the fitted skirt and the jacket contours your waist.

Let’s get into styling this red set (Sign up for Restock). I knew I was going to wear to wear black tights with set but was unsure about the top. I tried this red set on without a shirt on and it was sooooo good, but having so much leg out and no shirt seemed like overload. I went with a black turtleneck for some more balance. Finishing this look were my favorite black booties (similar) and trusty Prada bag.

Style Notes ~ I am wearing a size 1x in this red set (Sign up for Restock), lately I have been an XL, but I thought sizing up would give me length. This red set is special because it does not ride up or move while walking. My black turtleneck is a size large and my black tights are a size C/D. My black booties (similar) are size 11.
