How to Style Camo Jorts with Texture

March 3, 2026

Hey Curvies!!!

I’m so excited to bring you the Mean Green style series—a mix of wrapping up my fall/winter looks while sharing fresh, wearable ways to style green. My personal style has been shifting, and I’m honestly loving every bit of it. I’ll always love a fitted dress, but lately a good pair of barrel pants or statement bottoms hate to see me coming.

Throughout this series, I’m really stretching my creative muscles—pushing myself to do more than I normally would while still keeping things practical, because I actually wear my clothes. From beautiful green dresses that let you pull inspiration from the colors within, to full green moments just because, to adding texture to unexpected pieces (hello camo jorts), this series is all about experimenting with intention.

While I was taking my Instagram break, I found myself on the clock app and fell hard for jorts. For reference, jorts are slightly longer than traditional shorts with a relaxed silhouette—and if you know me, relaxed doesn’t mean sloppy. I found the perfect pair: not too loose, not too fitted, and sitting just right at the waist. In my book, camo is a neutral, so I’m excited to style these jorts in even more ways.

Styling this look definitely pushed me creatively. At first glance, a white collared shirt and camo might feel unexpected, but that’s what made it fun. I’m not a full-length shirt girly—I love a crop and I love a fitted moment—but I pieced together the camo jorts with a balloon-sleeve collared shirt for balance. I grounded the look with black boots, added the smallest (but cutest) handbag I own, and finished with heart-shaped earrings for a playful touch. The final layer? A cropped faux leather top that added just the right amount of edge and texture to tie everything together.

Style Notes: I’m wearing a size 14 in the camo jorts, though honestly a 15 would have been perfect. The collared shirt is a size XL (I sized up from a large to exaggerate the sleeves). My black boots are a size 10.5, though I could’ve gone with my true size 10.
