I’m so excited to continue the True to Blue series—where I’m leaning into blue in ways that feel effortless, bold, and true to my personal style. This series has really been about showing how one color can create so many different moments when styled with intention.
From a classic denim maxi, to mixing stripes with camo, to easy everyday looks, each outfit brings its own vibe. Third up? This fitted navy blue dress paired with bold purple platforms, a look that feels simple but still makes a statement.
Now if you know me, you know a fitted dress is home for me. It’s one of those silhouettes I always come back to because it just works. During my style series, I like to keep a balance giving you dresses and looks with bottoms, but this dress? It definitely gave me a run for my money in the best way.
Styling this navy dress could have gone in so many directions. The easy choice would’ve been gold—classic, safe, and always a go-to. But Curvies… I wanted to do something a little different. I looked around my closet and these purple platforms immediately stood out. And this time? They weren’t just along for the ride, they were the moment.
To finish the look, I added an acrylic-style clutch and kept the accessories silver to tie everything together without competing with the shoes.
Style Notes: I’m wearing a size large in this dress and it fits pretty true to size. My purple platforms are a size 10 and also true to size.
