Hey Curvies!!!
I’m so excited to kick off another annual style series—True to Blue. This series is all about leaning into blue in ways that feel bold, effortless, and true to my personal style. From statement pieces to everyday looks, we’re exploring how versatile and powerful blue can be when styled with intention.
Throughout this series, I’ll be sharing how I style a super cute blue fitted dress, create a cool, effortless look with camo cargos and blue stripes, and a chic take on blue joggers that unexpectedly became one of my favorite outfits. And of course, we’re starting strong with this timeless denim maxi dress—a piece that instantly feels classic while still making a statement.
I honestly grabbed this dress because it reminded me of my mom. Growing up, she always had a denim dress and a denim skirt in her wardrobe, and she styled them so effortlessly. She had the cutest stiletto heels that gave her denim dress a completely different vibe every time she wore it. That memory alone made this piece feel special.
From the silhouette, to the way the buttons lay flat against my curves, to that subtle peek-a-boo slit up the back—this dress is everything I imagined and more. It’s one of those pieces that instantly makes you feel put together.
Styling this look was such a dream. I really wanted the dress to shine, so I kept the accessories fun but complementary. I went with tortoiseshell sunnies because they added a little edge, then paired the look with these unique wedges that have a missing heel detail (and yes, they are so comfortable). To finish it off, I added this fun handbag that I simply could not leave online.
Style Notes: I’m wearing a size 1X in this dress. I sized up to ensure the buttons didn’t gap at the hips. My shoes are true to size in a 10.
